Community Meeting

You're invited to a community meeting and update on the Global Industry Standards on Tailings Management (GISTM) - Tuesday July 25 1:30 - 2:30pm

The GISTM strengthens current practices for tailings management and requires operators to take responsibility and prioritize the safety of tailings facilities, through the lifecycle.

The Standard covers the entire tailings facility lifecycle and consists of 77 auditable requirements spanning from topic areas such as human rights due diligence, detailed site characterization, comprehensive monitoring, performance-based approaches, ongoing management, emergency preparedness and public disclosures.
